Okay so the MTV Movie Awards was hands down the best award show of any kind of ever, and fuck you if you think differently. Andy Samberg as host was the best thing MTV has ever done. Back home for a break before resuming filming, Robert Pattinson had quite the action-packed stay while residing up in Vancouver for “New Moon”.

Aside from hopping back into his beloved role of Edward Cullen, the hunky “Twilight” stud enjoyed both a cast wrap party and a 23rd birthday celebration during the course of his time in Canada.As for his birthday party, Rob was joined by family and co-stars, with fans quickly taking notice as they ran up to try and meet the “New Moon” stud.

One lucky fan gushed, “I was so happy to see Rob and help him celebrate his 23rd birthday. He took the time to meet us and take a picture with us, that was so cool.”

Finally finished up in Vancouver, Pattinson has since jetted back to LA, but will soon be shooting scenes in Italy - as everyone involved try to wrap things up in time for the much-anticipated November 20th release of “New Moon”.

OK! Interview: Ashley Greene Spills on New Moon

"I knew it had a following, but it’d be pompous to expect that it would do this well,” Ashley Greene says of Twilight, Stephenie Meyer’s book-turned-movie, which earned more than $379 million worldwide, and spawned a sequel, New Moon.

In the film, now shooting in Vancouver and due in theaters Nov. 20, Ashley, 22, once again sinks her teeth into the role of vampire Alice Cullen, sister of Robert Pattinson’s Edward.

“It’s amazing,” Ashley, who works with the Donatemydress.org prom dress drive and has been linked to actor Ian Somerhalder, tells OK!. “Every day I wake up and feel so lucky.”

OK!: How does Alice change in the sequel?

My character’s going to be a good 60 percent bigger in the second film. You get to see the development between Alice, Bella and Edward.

OK!: Does Robert have any problems with putting on that vampire makeup?

He likes being pretty [laughs]! No, I think any guy [actor] is kind of like, eh. But it’s part of the job.

OK!: Taylor Lautner, who plays werewolf Jacob Black, has really transformed his body so that he looks more mature in the sequel.

I’ve spoken out publicly about how ridiculous it was that he was going to be replaced, and I think he worked harder than anyone to keep his role. He’s gained almost 30 pounds. We’re so proud of him. He’s in the gym three times a day and eating all the time. I was like, “I want your job, you get to eat everything!”

OK!: How do you spend time off the set?

There’s a street in Vancouver called Robson, where we jam with people who play instruments. I’m going to take up guitar, because Jackson [Rathbone], Nikki [Reed], Kristen [Stewart] and Rob [Pattinson] all play guitar and sing.

OK!: Is the cast very close?

Yeah, you create this intense bond with these people. It’s really natural.

OK!: How is Robert handling being the world’s most desirable man?

Rob’s always like, “I don’t belong here, what’s going on?”He’s not the most sociable. He’s not one of those people who can go and talk to anyone. He’s kind of a hermit and a little awkward. He got thrust into this limelight, but he’s dealing with it. I think it’d be kind of difficult for anyone.

OK!: It’s been rumored that Rob had a crush on Kristen.

Is that why he’s not dating?I think he’s loving being single. He’s pretty much one of the most eligible bachelors out there right now. So if he was sad before [about Kristen], I think that he’s all right now.

OK!: Does Kristen stay in touch with her boyfriend, Michael Angarano?

I know that she cares about him a lot and they have a great relationship. On the last film, he would hang out often.

OK!: Who are your celebrity crushes?

I get crushes on everyone. I love everyone in Kings of Leon. (*Femmefatale's note* Join the fucking club Ash) I actually heard they want to be on our soundtrack, which would be so cool. (not sure how I feel about this...Leb, is it true?)

Filming New Moon seems different from Twilight. Is it too overwhelming now?
It's seriously so much fun still. Not too overwhelming yet, because I'm really enjoying and lucky to be doing what I'm doing. Everyone on the set is friends—we all go out together and have dinners. But yeah, it's crazy because all of a sudden everyone cares what you're wearing, what you're drinking, who you're kissing.

Who you're kissing, huh? Does that mean things are getting frisky up in Vancouver? We hear things about Rob and Kristen.
This is the thing, I look at magazines. I don't know why, but other people's lives intrigue us for some reason. Especially with this movie in particular, all of our chemistry is so great onscreen that people want it to be real offscreen, and even if it isn't, they are still going to say that it is.

Well, we also hear you might be dating your onscreen love, Jackson Rathbone, too. True?
[Grins] Um...Jackson is a sweetheart. But we're...um. No.

Ashley's publicist then came up and said that J & A "seriously" weren't dating, but we think everything was in that sexy little smirk. Dating was probably the wrong word. Maybe (and hopefully) they are just enjoying their time filming together, like so many others up there are.

Rob had been @ Bella's House all night. Drove in at around 5:30 pm. Filming breakup scene. Just before 5am, the SUV that transports him pulled out.. slowed down and Rob rolled down his window. First thing he said is "What are you all doing here" "Don't you have school tomorrow"?He was on his iPhone when he first drove up, smiling as he saw fans waiting for him. There was only about 10 girls by the entrance to the set.Then one fan asked him to sign her copy of NM, Rob said "yeah".. and as he was doing that he stopped and said "oh, I am signing over somebody's name" (Stephenie Meyer's) But then he finished.He then said thanks to fans for being out there, he was very giggly and shy as usual. As he left I said good luck. He said Thank you!

The mop-topped actor vamps on Little Ashes and New Moon

“Surreal” is a word that perfectly suits Robert Pattinson’s life at the moment.

Not only is the up-and-comer adjusting to a new, hyper-famous life after Twilight’s rabid fan base sunk their teeth into his brooding portrayal of the undead romantic hero Edward Cullen (and became as addicted to the newly minted star as the saga’s vampire clan is to hemoglobin), he’s also playing the famed Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí in his latest film. Little Ashes chronicles Dalí’s formative years at university, where he became embroiled in a complex, obsessive and sexually charged relationship with future poet Federico García Lorca.

Pattinson paints Fandango a portrait of how he climbed into Dalí’s surreality, bares a bit of fang on fame, stays in the shadows during frenzied fan encounters and even offers a nibble of New Moon scoop.

Fandango: There was the showy, intentionally bizarre public Dalí and then there is his art, which should be taken very seriously. Have you thought about that as it applies to your own work?

Pattinson: Yeah. He had a fanatical control over how he was perceived. But now it's really out of control – out of your control. Your public image just seems to be in the hands of faceless strangers. You see these stories come up all the time and you're like, “Jesus. How do you know…?”

Fandango: Is it harder playing a real person, as opposed to playing the fictional Edward Cullen who had his story laid out in black and white?

Pattinson: I think in a lot of ways it's kind of the same. You're still playing fiction even though you're playing a real character. It's the same kind of approximation of somebody. The only thing that you can take from the book is the general outline, the mood changes, the emotional changes and development. I'm not playing it exactly as it is in the book.

Fandango: Dalí was a famed surrealist and no doubt you’ve had your share of surreal experiences in the last few months – like fans screaming over cardboard cutouts of you at the video store.

Pattinson: I know! I was in a Blockbuster on the day it was being released. I had forgotten it was being released that day. There were two families who had come with eight- or nine-year old-daughters to get their DVD. They were standing in the line crying and I stood watching what all this commotion was about. They didn’t know I was there or anything. I was just thinking “Wow, you’re crying about a DVD.” It’s fascinating.

Fandango: And you never revealed yourself to them?

Pattinson: No way! [laughs]

Fandango: Do you and your castmates try to top each other with the wild post-fame encounters you’ve had?

Pattinson: In a lot of ways they are all quite similar. The funny thing is that I’m always going around trying to look as inconspicuous as possible I find that people are always really disappointed when they actually recognize me. They are like ‘”Oh! At first I thought you were a bum but then I realized who you were.”

Fandango: You’re just getting started shooting New Moon. How are things going?

Pattinson: The interesting thing about this one is that so much of my character is in Bella’s head. It’s based on a mixture of memories and nightmares. Bella thinks she is going mad. I get to do some really creepy stuff. In other words, Bella is really frightened of [her hallucinations]. It’s really, really different than Twilight. I think that a lot of people will be kind of scared by this one. I wanted to try and put that into Twilight but I couldn’t really find a way to make Edward scary.

Fandango: How is working with the new director, Chris Weitz?

Pattinson: He’s a great guy. He’s very, very talented, and articulate. I guess it must be kind of stressful for him to take this on. It’s got so much expectation. He just seems very calm about everything.

Fandango: What was it like attending the Academy Awards for the first time?

Pattinson: I got there and then I’m sitting in the second row. It was unbelievable. I keep thinking that something terrible is going to happen. “Death” is the only thing I’m thinking the whole time. I just used up all my luck so I’m probably going to die at 23 or something.

Fandango: Did you discover that any of the hugely famous stars that were there were actually fans of Twilight, or their kids love the movie?

Pattinson: Robin Wright Penn came up to me. I thought that was kind of amazing after her husband had just won Best Actor. That was very, very surreal.

Fandango: You contributed a couple of songs to the Twilight soundtrack. Are you still pursuing music, and will you be doing more for New Moon?

Pattinson: I’m in talks to do a soundtrack for another movie, composing. I cannot say what it is yet, but I really, really, really want to do. I don’t think I’m going to have anything on New Moon, but never say never.

Fandango: And next you might be doing Memoirs, which has been described as a story of two star-crossed lovers trying to overcome family tragedies.

Pattinson: That will hopefully happen. It’s not finalized yet. It’s a great script and it’s something different from anything I’ve done before. I was in New York working on rewrites the other day with Jenny [Lumet, screenwriter of Rachel Getting Married]. It seemed like its going to be really, really, really good.

Fandango: Finally, for many people, Dalí became known as the artist with the crazy mustache and today you're the actor with the wild hair. Did you recognize the parallel in the hirsute trademarks?

Pattinson: [laughs] I didn't think about that, but it's funny because people are still bringing up my hair, even though I cut it off to make it different. That is quite funny. God. I hope that I don't get known for that for the rest of my life.

Little Ashes Interview...Spoiler warning

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD! Although I won’t reveal what happens toward the end of the movie (but if you know what happened to the characters in real life, you'll have a pretty good idea), there are some key scenes that are described here. If you don’t want to know things like if Pattinson gets naked or what the movie’s sex scenes are like (or if you’re just generally offended by anything that would make a movie rated R), then don’t read any further!

Does Robert Pattinson get naked in "Little Ashes"?

Yes. There’s a scene with him naked in the front, except his private parts, which he covers up with his hands. But the scene is still racy because, well, things are little hairy, if you know what I mean. The scene is near the beginning of the film, when Salvador is a new student. He’s shown in his room, trying on a bunch of different outfits in front of a full-length mirror. Next thing you know, he’s naked and checking himself out in the mirror. That’s something you won’t see in a "Twilight" movie!

Does Robert Pattinson "hook up" with a man in "Little Ashes"?

It depends on what your definition of "hook up" is. Does he kiss a man in the movie? Yes. Several times. (More on that below.) But are there any scenes of him having sex with a man? In the college scenes, Salvador mostly gets drunk a lot. At a dinner party, a very drunk Salvador shouts to everyone at the table, "I’m Salvador Dalí, savior of modern art!" As he leaves the party, he shouts to some police officers on the street, "Viva la revolucíon!" (English translation: "Long live the revolution!) The officers chase him and Federico down the street. Federico and Salvador duck in an alley and "get close," and it looks like they’re going to kiss, but they don’t.
In another scene, Salvador tells a group of instructors that they’re too stupid to judge him, and he gets expelled from school. There are a few scenes where Pattinson does the "bug-eyed crazy look" that Dalí was known for in real life.

Once upon a time, Robert Pattinson was a shaggy-haired virtual unknown, best remembered for the "Harry Potter" films and hoping to be taken seriously as an actor via a series of small, low-profile independent films. Eventually, he would become Edward Cullen — the ideal companion for women all over the world and plastered in more bedrooms than wallpaper itself.

But first, he had to learn "How to Be."

Travel back with us to a simpler time, thanks to this exclusive clip from Pattinson's new film, which is actually an old film, shot in his pre-"Twilight" days. It's from the Oliver Irving-directed "How to Be," a movie whose advance screenings have already won the hearts of Twilighters worldwide.

The film stars RPattz as Art, a hopelessly lost young man who hires a "life coach" in an attempt to straighten himself out. The London-based musician becomes enamored with a book called "It's Not Your Fault" and invites its elderly author to move in with his family — yielding endearingly quirky results.

In this clip titled "Choking on Dust," Art tries to live life to the fullest by taking a V-8 Camaro out for a joyride. Twilighters will undoubtedly get a kick out of the reckless enthusiasm Rob brings to the scene. His rose-colored glee, however, is short-lived.

"How to Be" is currently touring around the world, with upcoming stops over the next week in New York, Singapore and Los Angeles. Beginning on April 29 and lasting three months, the film can be seen on the pay-service IFC Festival Direct. The film's Web site has additional info on the movie's worldwide theatrical release, as well as the upcoming soundtrack featuring three tracks by Pattinson.

In case you've been living under a rock, Rob is currently hard at work filming the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon." Another early independent film featuring the 22-year-old actor, "Little Ashes," is also touring the country in advance of its theatrical release.

Summit Entertainment is presenting four new titles to buyers at Cannes this year including two new Summit productions - a romantic drama starring Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson and a generational love story set in Italy starring Amanda Seyfried.

Pattinson is starring in Remember Me (Memoirs) which is shooting this summer in New York while the actor is between Twilight sequels New Moon, which wraps at the end of May, and Eclipse, which starts in August.

Allen Coulter, the award-winning TV director (The Sopranos, Damages) who made his feature debut with Hollywoodland in 2006, is directing the film and Nick Osborne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films (License To Wed) are producing.

Summit co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger wouldn't go into too much detail on the plot but described the film as this generation's Love Story. A female lead is in the process of being cast, while Rachel Getting Married writer Jenny Lumet has finished the latest draft of the screenplay.

Nightmare on Elm Street remake
Like lambs to the slaughter, "Twilight" actor Kellan Lutz, "Terminator" TV show star Thomas Dekker and Rooney Mara have joined the cast of New Line's re-imagined "A Nightmare on Elm Street," being directed by Samuel Bayer and produced by Platinum Dunes.

Lutz, who is in negotiations, would play a popular school jock.

Dekker is an alpha male trying to get back together with his girlfriend. Mara plays a girl who can't wait to leave town after graduation.
Those young dreams will prove to be dust as the duo join Kyle Gallner, in the role played by Johnny Depp in the 1984 pic, as fodder for slasher Freddy Krueger, being played by Jackie Early Haley. "Nightmare" is slated to begin shooting May 5 in Chicago.

Lutz played Emmett Cullen in "Twilight," a role he is reprising for the sequel, "New Moon," which is shooting in Vancouver. His part in "Nightmare" would not be scheduled until later in the shoot. The actor, repped by Innovative, also appeared in "90120" and "Generation Kill."

Dekker, repped by ICM and the Schiff Co., is coming off starring on Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." He next appears on the big screen in New Line's "My Sister's Keeper" with Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin.

Gersh-repped Mara, the sister of Kate Mara, has "The Winning Season" with Sam Rockwell and "Youth in Revolt" with Michael Cera coming out this year.

JACKSON RATHBONE IS BLOODY CUTE The Twilight actor plays a song for us on piano. We like him.

The adage that you can tell a lot about someone by their shoes seems true of Jackson Rathbone, who is wearing brown leather cowboy boots flecked with yellow paint. He spent many of his formative years in Texas, and talking to him, it becomes clear that he would describe himself as an artist before he would just call himself an actor.

Rathbone started acting in high school when he attended Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and moved from set and lighting design to a spot in front of the curtain. "When I started being onstage, I fell in love with it," he says. Although he is now best known as Jasper Hale in Twilight, and is currently filming M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, what Rathbone seems most excited to talk about right now is his band, 100 Monkeys.

His bandmates are old friends and actors as well, and he shares a house in Hollywood with two of them. "We call it the Monkey House," he jokes. "We all play all the instruments," he adds. "We call it the Monkey Switcharoo."

When asked about working with his Twilight castmates, he praises their talent, then adds, "Kristen and Rob are both very musically inclined, so we would have jam sessions. It was like the Cullen Family Band."

Strangely enough, the hotel room where we're speaking is equipped with a grand piano. Nearly everyone who's passed it has hammered out a botched chopsticks, and Rathbone, whose car is waiting outside, can't resist the pull either. 'The Twilight Saga's Eclipse': Coming On June 30, 2010Third film in 'Twilight' series gets release date.

Just a day after "Twilight" fans got a look at the artwork for "New Moon," they're getting another treat: On June 30, 2010, "Eclipse" is coming."
Yes, it's true," a source at Summit Entertainment confirmed to MTV News Friday evening (February 20). "
The Twilight Saga's Eclipse' is dated for Wednesday, June 30, 2010."The big news comes on the heels of a report that the "Twilight" studio had selected a release date for the third film in the series. The threequel's plot synopsis was also leaked for the first time."

As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger," the plotline explains of the film based on Stephenie Meyer's "Eclipse" novel. "In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob -- knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death."

The studio has been quick to point out that "New Moon" and "Eclipse" will not be shooting back-to-back, as franchises from "The Matrix" to "Lord of the Rings" have done in the past. The studio also has not chosen a director for "Eclipse," meaning that Chris Weitz's "New Moon" turn at the helm could be as singular as Catherine Hardwicke's was with the original "Twilight."

As "Twilight" fans know, Meyer's final book, "Breaking Dawn," will most likely be made into a movie if the studio is going so far as to film the first three novels. Meyer has gone on record saying that she'd like "Breaking Dawn" to be filmed as two separate movies, but little else is known about Summit's plans to continue the saga beyond "Eclipse."
